Meet in Central Park's Environmental Education Center - across the bridge from Kids Castle by the Native Plant Demonstration Garden. Join members of Doylestown Township's Environmental Advisory Council for a first-hand experience in the identification and removal of non-native plants in our parks.
This 2-hour workshop will focus on Burning Bush, also known as "Winged Euonymus." A commonly used non-native landscape plant, Burning Bush has escaped into our woodlands and is choking out valuable native shrubs and wildflowers. It's easiest to see in autumn when its rosy-red leaves are most obvious.
Wear sturdy shoes, bring work gloves and pruners if you have them, and be prepared to be a Park Partner as Doylestown Township continues its long-standing responsible environmental stewardship.
Registration is desired to help with planning but it is not required.
