Yama and Niyama Yoga Series: VIRTUAL OPTION
Here is an opportunity to learn something new and keep those new year resolutions, build strength and overall wellness by way of practicing yoga asanas, give back to your township and support a local non-profit organization, Arva Yoga! Arva Yoga is offering to teach virtual yoga live classes in Feb/March 2022 and all proceeds of this session benefit Doylestown Township...yoga from the comfort of your own home!
Each week we will focus on a particular Yama/Don'ts and Niyama/Do's of Yoga Philosophy as well as asanas focused on a particular position of the body as well as type of asanas.
Week 1. Forward Bends & Standing asanas,
Week 2. Back Bends & Seated asanas,
Week 3. Lateral Bends & Table Top pose asanas
Week 4. Twists & Supine or asanas lying on your back and
Week 5. Inversions & Prone or asanas laying on your belly!
Awaken and rejuvenate with a traditional hatha yoga class. A combination of stretching, asanas, pranayama, and meditation will set you up for success with a strong body and calm mind to take on whatever life brings on.
Beginners welcome! Classes are taught live and 2-way communication helps make sure you feel confident that you are getting the most out of each class.
Chakra Balancing Series in Central Park : IN PERSON OPTION
Here is an opportunity to learn something new and keep those new year resolutions, build strength and overall wellness by way of practicing yoga asanas, give back to your township and support a local non-profit organization, Arva Yoga! Arva Yoga is offering to teach yoga live classes and all proceeds of this session benefit Doylestown Township. We will find a spot on the green at Central Park Amphitheater and be socially distanced to enjoy a beautiful day outside and if weather is not great, the session will be virtual for that day only.
Chakras can be thought of as energy wheels located in our bodies and situated along our spinal cord. In this 5 week session, we will learn about 7 major chakras (Root, Sacral, Solar Plexis, Heart, Throat, Third eye and Crown) and through specific poses/asanas, hand gestures/mudras, and breathing exercises/pranayama, help balance these Chakras to help boost strength and flexibility of the body and promote overall wellness. A mini-guided meditation session at the end of the class will offer an opportunity to calm the mind and nourish the spirit.
