Did you know that board games are not only a source of entertainment and FUN, but they also encourage social connections and offer other positive benefits? Playful activities such as board games exercise your brain, sharpen reflexes, enhance cognitive ability, and build confidence through friendly play and light competition. The simple act of engaging in fun and laughter can also relieve stress and foster enthusiasm.Join us for this fun and engaging program and learn some unique games (board, cards, and dice) that incorporate luck, strategy, and FUN. During this six-week program, we will introduce, teach and play a fun new game each week. Make some new friends and maybe even discover a new favorite game to enjoy with family and friends.

Orientation & First Time Registration The success of the Doylestown Dog Park is due in part to the unique mandatory education session that is required for all park users and submission of dog license, vaccinations and attendance at an educational orientation session. We believe that our requirements result in a better educated participant who understands their responsibility as a dog park user, resulting in a positive experience for all. Register for Orientation  1st Time Member Registration > Pre-Orientation * Gather and complete all required membership materials including,       **  Application       **  Current Dog License (receipt for current year or Lifetime license)       **  Current shot records to include Rabies, DHPP/DHLPP and Bordetella       **  Email completed documents to info@doylestownpa.org * Following receipt and verification payment will be requested (credit card only). * Payment will be processed and receipt forwarded via email. * Key fob will be issued at the conclusion of the scheduled orientation session. * Do not bring your dog(s) to orientation Dog Park Orientation - Attendance required for membership* Pre-registration is required [click here]     Note: “All” participating household members must be pre-registered     Location: 425 Wells Road,Doylestown. The physical location is specified in the session    selection and on registration receipt.       ** Community meeting room (inside the administration building) *  Registered participants only. NO walk-in participation is permitted. *  Do not bring dogs to orientation. *  Minimum registration of eight (8) people are required for an orientation session to run.     If minimum is not met session will be cancelled & Registrants moved to next session. *  When registering please note that even though there is no charge, you must check out       and complete the payment screen in order to be registered for the orientation session. *  Choose the “no payment” option to complete your registration. *  Attendance at the full orientation session in order to receive a Certificate of Completion. *  Plan to arrive early as late entry will not be permitted once the session has begun. *  At the end of the session, you will receive an attendance certificate required for     registration. RefundsDog Park membership is valid for a period of one year. September 5th- Silver and Stone Earrings Workshop: Join us for a fun and creative time designing your very own pair of earrings. No experience necessary.  Treva, owner of Thistle and Torch Artisan Jewelry, will guide you every step of the way. Earrings are made of Sterling Silver and Roman glass or Natural Turquoise stones. Don't miss out on this opportunity to unleash your creativity and make a unique accessory to show off. October 12th- Roll Printed Jewelry Workshop: Join us for an evening of artistic expression and create your own roll-printed jewelry using sterling silver sheet and various textures. No experience Necessary. Treva will guide you thru every step.November 9th- 5 minute Precious Metal Clay Jewelry Workshop: Join Treva, of Thistle and Torch Artisan Jewelry, for a fun and hands-on jewelry-making experience. In this in-person event, you'll learn the basics of Precious Metal Clay (PMC) and create your own unique piece of jewelry in just 5 minutes! Each student will receive 10grams of Metal Clay (enough for multiple pieces of jewelry) and Treva will walk you thru the process of creating your very own jewelry pieces, providing tips and tricks along the way. Metal clay pieces will be kiln fired while you enjoy a 1hr Lunch break, and will be finished and ready to go home with you to enjoy.  Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to unleash your creativity and take home a beautiful handmade accessory. In this one-night class, your instructor will take you behind-the-scenes in the voice over field for a fun and realistic look at how the voice over field really works. You'll gain inside perspective on developing skills, and how to leverage your voice's strengths and interests, and more. You'll also have an opportunity to record a sample professional voice over under the direction of the instructor.

You might have symptoms of dehydration and not even know it.  Meet up with a Health Educator on ways to increase your daily water intake and feel better!October 15th: Understanding Food LabelsFood labels- such a confusing term for something that's required to be on all packaged food! When you turn around the bag of chips, do you know what you should be looking for?  If you don't, you're not alone! Food labels can be confusing and if you add in the marketing, you might be convinced that a chocolate bar only has 5 calories, no fat, no sugar, and was picked straight from the tree in Hershey. If you think you can learn a little more on what to look at on food labels, then join a health educator from Doylestown Health to learn more.November 19th: Child Sexual Abuse Prevention ProgramParticipants learn how predators go through the grooming process with children, families and organizations for the purpose of isolation and abuse of their victims.  Case studies and covered information include teaching the signs of grooming, how to effectively interrupt inappropriate behaviors and ways to identify early signs of abuse and neglect.December 17: Coconut Oil: Is it Good or Bad for you?Coconut Oil became the new "healthy" oil, taking over olive oils benefits the past few years.  But then a shocking article from the American Heart Association came out stating that they did not endorse coconut oil.  So what's the truth? By joining this session, you will learn from a Doylestown Health educator the truth vs the myths and how to make your own informed decision.
