Calling ALL new puppy owners! Each class will have a different training discussion, as well as healthy socialization with other pups, objects and sounds. This class helps pups learn the cues of other pups and guide owners of appropriate puppy play. Topics of discussion can include house-training, mouthing, chewing and crate training. 10:00 AM - 12:15 PM    American Mahjong - Meet up
Why do so many people enjoy playing mahjong?  Above all, it is fun and social!  It is a challenging, tile-based strategy game that combines skill with luck. Players attempt to match a hand from scores of possibilities - and although winning a game is satisfying, ALMOST winning is sometimes just as much fun.  Beginner: Level I - The instructor will explain the basics of the game and provide you with the fundamental skills needed to enjoy playing.  All participants will receive their own official National Mahjong League card which lists this year’s playing hands and the rules of the game.Beginner: Level II - Designed for players who understand the basic rules of play and have had some experience playing the game and wish to further their skills.  The goals of this class include a better understanding of the mahjong card, developing strategies for choosing the hand of play, defensive play strategies, and increasing speed of play.Meet up - An opportunity for beginning players to get together and practice their skills.  All skill levels welcome and help is always appreciated.  Players must bring their own National Mahjong League Card.    If a class is canceled due to inclement weather, a makeup class will be added to the end of the session.*No Class on 11/11 & 11/25 for the Mahjong Meet up Group*

3:45 PM - 5:00 PM    Puppy Kindergarten - Puppy Kindergarten Class
This class is designed to introduce new pups and their owners to the foundation skills of good behavior at home and polite manners out of the home. Each class will introduce behavior and obedience commands including Leave It, Relax, Sit, Down, Place and Come. Each class will include healthy socialization with other pups, objects and sounds and a training discussion. When you and your pup complete seven classes, you can be recognized by the American Kennel Club and rewarded with their S.T.A.R. Puppy Medal and Puppy Package. This is a training based class geared to pups ages 3 months to 6 months. Note: This program will follow all State & CDC guidelines regarding current Covid-19 Precautions.At Engineering for Kids, we believe that children are natural born engineers who have unlimited imaginations and unbridled enthusiasm. We offer fun, hands-on learning for children ages 4 to 12. Our activities range from building flashlights and rockets to programming video games and robots. The variety of programming is extraordinary!Jr. Mechanical Engineering: (Ages 4-7):  Widgets & GadgetsThis program introduces our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of energy, materials, and movement.  Through open and focused exploration, students will explore and construct their own roller coasters, catapults, cars, and more.Jr. Chemical Engineering: (Ages 4-7):  Crazy ConcoctionsThis program introduces our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of solids, liquids, and solutions.  Students will investigate the properties of several crazy concoctions and make their own samples of bubbles, play dough, flub, and more.Apprentice Mechanical Engineering:  (Ages 8-14):  Master MachinesDuring the Mechanical Engineering program, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a variety of machines and mechanical systems.  Students learn basics of fluid mechanics, simple machines, and other design and engineering concepts while constructing roller coasters, egg drop vehicles, and an incredibly fast air powered dragster they will keep at the end of the program.Apprentice Chemical Engineering:  (Ages 8-14):   Mix it UpDuring our Chemical Engineering program, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine various mixtures and solutions with different chemical properties.  They will develop solutions to clean up an oil spill, synthesize their own rocket fuel, and investigate the secrets behind color pigmentation.
