General Information
If you love to fish or just seek tranquility, this is a park you've got to check out. This tract is 3.8 acres transformed from a dumping site to a beautiful park. Part of the Neshaminy Creek Watershed Rivers Conservation Project, funded by PA DCNR Keystone Grants, the streambank was cleaned up and approximately 100 tree saplings were planted; minor renovations were made to the parking lot and picnic benches have been placed along the walking trail. A split-rail fence, waterfront steps, nature trail and education kiosks were all constructed with the help of both volunteers and Doylestown Township's Parks Department. On Saturday, May 22, 1999 volunteer and staff efforts peaked as Castle Valley Park became the newest addition to Doylestown Township's Park System as well as part of Bucks County's Link Park System. Directions to Castle Valley Park traveling Lower State Road towards Doylestown: Cross over Bristol Road and continue on Lower State Road for approximately 1 mile. Park will be on your left just before the Neshaminy Creek Bridge. Directions from Route 611 North-bound: Make a left onto Almshouse Road and follow to stop sign. Make a right onto Almshouse Road (left is Turk Road) and follow windy road to stop sign. Park will be in front of you off to your right.
